Oklahoma Christian Academy is a private Christian school
first started in 1987 housing grades kindergarten through seventh grade.
The original site was divided by grade levels and housed in four different
locations. In 1988 the elementary and Junior High School were located in
the College Campus Church of Christ now know as Memorial Road Church of
Christ. Pre-School and Kindergarten were located at Edmond Church of Christ.
Each year, a grade level was added until 1992-93 when OCA graduated the
first class of seniors.
In 1997 OCA received accreditation from the state department
for a Pre-school program called Developmental Kindergarten. In 2001 the
state department accredited the four-year-old program.
In the summer of 1997, OCA began renovation of the Edmond Elementary
building and built a new gym that we share with the Edmond Church of
Christ. In 2001 we purchased the Edmond Church of Christ building and
consolidated 4-year olds through 12th grade in one location.

A strong sporting tradition has been part of the history of
Oklahoma Christian Academy. We have always offered basketball and
cheerleading.
Volleyball and softball were added in 1993-1994
and baseball
was added spring in 1995.
In 2001- 2002, OCA offered Football and ended the first season
with a record of 5–3.
Its own Board of Trustees governs OCA. All full-time
teachers are degreed and certified by the State of Oklahoma. Since opening
in 1987, OCA has grown each year and currently serves over 385 students.
OCA offers a Christian approach to our children’s learning environment. We
encourage spiritual growth and help train Christian leaders. The academic
curriculum of OCA is designed to prepare students for any college or
university. |
